The publishing house Schildts & Söderströms wanted to renew its Book Fair concept. The trade show exhibit, which had been done the same way for years, required a complete overhaul. The booth was desired to be modernly stylish but not overly extravagant. The area was designed to be both open and cozy, resembling a living room in the heart of the busy book fair. Books and authors were to be showcased more prominently than before. Storage logistics and the functionality of the back room were important. The children were to be considered with their own cozy reading nook. The renewed company identity of Schildts & Söderströms was to be presented stylishly.
Pulp designed a department solution that perfectly matched the client's vision. Living room-like coziness, openness, and suberb product presentation created a stylish and functional ensemble. Special attention was paid to visual aspects in the form of large image and logo surfaces, as well as in small, homey details. The spacious back room and the children's reading nook, which attracted both small and slightly older fair visitors, also received praise. The facelift of the fair concept exceeded the client's expectations. Positive feedback came in abundance from the client, the authors, the fair audience, and the fair organizers alike.
